Tayo Rockson, President/CEO, UYD Management

In 2014, Tayo Rockson launched a podcast, As Told By Nomads, to figure out why, even though the world was more globalized and digital than ever before, people still felt disconnected. He had grown up on four continents himself, and he began interviewing other international and multicultural leaders in business, culture, travel and global affairs — including entrepreneurs, nomads and third-culture kids — about identity and leadership.

Tayo developed a mission statement, “Use Your Difference to Make a Difference,” which became UYD Media, later renamed UYD Management. UYD Management is a strategic leadership and consulting firm that helps companies improve business results by adopting diversity, inclusion and cross-cultural strategies. Tayo is a speaker and an adjunct professor at Felician University.

Leslie Samuel, Creator, Become A Blogger

In 2010, Leslie Samuel was a high school science and math teacher, but his dream was to be a university professor, teaching advanced biology courses. He had a master’s degree in biology and neurobiology from Andrews University, but he didn’t have a Ph.D. and had no interest in getting one. Instead, he started teaching university-level biology online — creating popular video and blog content that helped him land a job teaching anatomy at his alma mater (without a Ph.D.).

Leslie now teaches other people how to turn their ideas into profitable businesses. His blog, podcast, online courses and resources focus on content creation, digital marketing and online business growth.
